Clinical Skills Training: Knee Immobilizer (KI)

Purpose of a KI is to limit knee movement and provide support during recovery from an injury or surgery. It helps in the healing process by stabilizing the knee, offering pain relief, and protecting the knee, muscles, or tendons for further injury.

Purpose of a Bledsoe Brace/Hinged Knee Brace is to help keep the knee stable, or when you need a fixed or limited range of motion (how much the knee can bend).

Purpose of a Thoracic Lumbar Sacral Orthosis (TLSO) Brace is to limit movement in your spine from the thoracic (mid-back) to your sacrum (low-back).
