Overview
This one-day masterclass for Mass General Brigham staff and trainees is designed for those with an interest in operating room teaching and training.
The course will explore the non-technical skills that underpin good surgical performance, including how these skills can be observed, strengthened, and used to guide meaningful feedback.

This course is free for Mass General Brigham faculty, staff, and trainees.

Identify the non-technical skills that support safe and effective surgical performance.
Observe & Improve
Explore how non-technical skills can be observed and strengthened in the operating room.
Guide Feedback
Use observations of non-technical performance to support meaningful feedback and learning.
Course Instruction
Instruction will be provided by faculty from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and MGB Faculty.
The course is sponsored by the Mass General Brigham Department of Surgery in collaboration with the Peter L. Slavin, MD Academy for Applied Learning in Health Care.
