Featured Case
Vol. 9999 — Example placeholder
Diagnostic reasoning in a case of subacute encephalopathy with multi-system involvement.
A century-spanning educational series presenting real clinical cases from MGH’s Clinicopathological Conferences (CPCs) — advancing diagnostic reasoning and interprofessional learning.
Founded in 1915, the Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital is among the longest-running clinical education series in the world. Each case invites learners to practice diagnostic reasoning by synthesizing history, exam findings, imaging, and pathology, culminating in a clinicopathological discussion.
CPCs are live, case-based conferences hosted at MGH throughout the academic year. Approximately 30–40 conferences occur annually, engaging clinicians, trainees, and interprofessional teams in open diagnostic discussion.
Selected cases appear in peer-reviewed publications, including the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). The archive offers a unique longitudinal view of medical practice and discovery at MGH.
